We design, document and arrange building and landscape investigations on behalf of our clients. We provide advice and write reports on appropriate actions for significant places including conservation management plans and heritage impact statements.

The process
First we need to work with the client to confirm the heritage status – listings may be Local, State or Territory or National.
We then need to gain an understanding of what is and what isn’t allowed in accordance with the building or site’s statement of significance and if it extends to the facade, roof form, internal details, setting or landscape.
Where required, it may be necessary to Engage Heritage-Experienced Professionals. Some projects may need more than a Heritage Architect and call upon the services of a Town Planner or experienced engineer.
BM only works with expert consultants that we know and trust.
We are prepared to attend any Council pre-lodgement meetings, prepare Heritage Impact Statements, lodge approvals and assess and approve any conditions.
Overseeing a Heritage project is a privilege that requires careful management and once complete, may also require an ongoing management and maintenance plan to endure compliance with Heritage conditions. We are especially experienced in this are as we work within a Heritage office that has one.
