The design is informed by key principles of circulation, supervision and sustainability. It takes advantage of the topography of the site in the development of a civic precinct; major circulation spines connect this to the junior and senior school precincts. Elements within the masterplan incorporate ideals of the Good Samaritan biblical concept of “being neighbour” and the school’s motto, “Journey into Compassion”.

The project team faced numerous challenges including latent civil site conditions, extensive site development works and the need for future-proofing. Despite this, construction was completed ahead of the programme and for the first bell to ring in Semester 1 of 2019.
